It is true that “kids say the darndest thing” and some of the stuff that they come up with can be quite entertaining to us “old people.” However, sometimes when I am out in public I sometimes see/hear things from kids that just puzzle me.

For example, a while back I was at a Mickey D’s grabbing a quick bite to eat. Inside this particular McDonald’s is a statue of Ronald McDonald sitting on a bench seat.

As I begin chowing down, a couple with three small children, a boy who was probably two-ish, and two girls that I would guess were approximately three and five, come in. The parents stroll right on up to the register to place their order and their kids run over to see ol’ Ronald. The boy and the younger of the two girls climb up in his lap and begin poking him on the eye, talking to him, etc…it was quite entertaining, especially since they talked to him like he was Santa Claus. Blog Changes

After getting my feet wet with my blog, I have decided to change the domain back to Jarism.com and go with a more general approach to my content. I will cover everything from sports and food to clothing and current events and everything in between.

Now that I have graduated, expect more frequent blogging. I am looking forward to some fun conversations with all of you.

It is no secret that social media is all the rage these days. Pretty much every company now has at least a Facebook page, if not a Twitter account as well. Many employee’s are taking to LinkedIn to network and companies are using it to recruit. Some companies even have a presence on other social networks such as YouTube, Pinterest, FourSquare and Google+.

That being said, it is amazing how many college senior’s and recent graduates in the communications field take such a half-hearted approach to their social media presence. (more…)
